Talk: The Neuroscience of Art

From £13.82“The Neuroscience of Art” delves into the rising field of neuroaesthetics, and with it the intricate and fundamental relationship between the human brain and artistic expression and appreciation. Neuroscience is revealing just how powerful art is, creating long-lasting physiological and neurological changes. Through an interdisciplinary lens, this talk examines how this new understanding of how art can impact the brain and body to drive emotion, creativity, memories and even connection we can better curate the world around us. We explore what this means for our own lived experiences and how we can use it to design spaces and experiences that support and impact our wellbeing in an increasingly accessible way.
Robyn Landau is a multidisciplinary designer, cultural entrepreneur and leading voice in the cutting-edge field of neuroaesthetics. She fuses neuroscience with aesthetics, technology and contemplative practise to redefine how interdisciplinary models can reshape culture’s impact on wellbeing. Co-founder of woman-led neuroaesthetics studio, Kinda Studios, the focus of her work explores how our daily experiences can impact our states of being; drawing on concepts from embodiment, physiology and the breath to sonics, nature and psychedelics. She translates this science into creative outputs, integrating 10+ years working with brands and leading platforms within music, entertainment and communications to build tools to engage audiences.
