North Street Games Night (Extra Date Added)

Due to high demand, we’ve added an extra North Street Games Night in March!

On Monday 21st we will be running another night upstairs at The Hen and Chicken from 7 pm until close.

We charge £1 per person for every Games Night which includes entry into a prize draw.

The evening will be hosted stairs in The Studio, which means 10+ tables of games! Access is through a door to the left of the main bar. The Studio was fully refurbished in 2018 and is well lit and fully air-conditioned.

We will be operating the upstairs bar in the corner of The Studio and offering an at-table service for food and drinks (depending on any staffing issues on the day) perfect for board gaming, although you can go to the bar if you prefer.

A few days before the event we’ll do a shout out for ideas of what to play and pre-arrange some starting games. We do this as it means we can get some longer games to the table (as people can read up on rules beforehand) and it really helps with making newcomers feel welcome. You can of course just show up on the night, grab a game, corral some folks and play! Do note that occasionally we’re very busy and some folks may have to sit downstairs in the main room of the pub as space permits.

You can bring and play your own games if there’s something you’d like to get to the table. But if you fancy something different we always bring along a selection of games from the local boardgame rental company, North Street Games Library (www.northstreetgamesibrary.com), which you can choose to play on the night at no extra cost. If there is anything specific you’d like to try do let us know as we have access to a very large number of titles.
